Please help us thank our lunch sponsors! These generous donors have supported better nutrition for Older Alaskans in the Mat-Su:
January 8: Knik-Fairview Community Council
January 12: Jamie Bagley, in memory of her father,
Jim Vrooman.
Jim was a long-time friend of WASI. He served on our Board of Directors, mentored others, and led a writing group at the center for many years. Thank you, Jamie, for helping us remember a good man!
In Wasilla, the Club 50 Fitness center and Mary Hall Library are open 8:30 am to 3:30 pm each weekday. The dining room opens for inside dining each weekday at 11 am. Please remain out of the dining room until 11:00 am so we can keep it clean! Feel free to remain after lunch.
The Mid-Valley senior Center is open for lunch each day 11:00 am – 1:30 pm. Lunch is served 11:30 – 12:30. Feel free to use our new computer room with internet-connected computers, or stay a bit after lunch to visit.
Seniors may receive services in their own home (housekeeping and Meals on Wheels) and may pick up a “take-away” hot lunch at the Wasilla Senior Center and the Mid-Valley Senior Center. Lunch pickups occur Mon-Fri between 11:30 – 12:30. As usual, seniors (age 60+) receive a meal (pickup or delivered to your home) on a donation basis.
Please remember to wash your hands when you enter our building, and if you have any symptoms of any illness, please CALL before coming into the building.
Wasilla Senior Center and Mid-Valley Senior Center are happy to be open. Staff are available Monday – Friday 8 am – 4 pm in Wasilla and 11 am – 2 pm in Mid-Valley.
Thanks for your helpful comments and suggestions.
