Generous sponsors help us bring a meal each weekday to seniors in the Wasilla area.
Please help us thank our lunch sponsors! These generous donors have supported better nutrition for Older Alaskans in the Mat-Su:
Mid-Valley Senior Center Take-Away meals:
June 5: Knik-Fairview Community Council
Meals on Wheels “ADOPT-A-ROUTE”
June 29: Glenda’s Salon and Training Center
COVID-19 Public Emergency Update:
All events and services in the Wasilla Senior Center are suspended temporarily in compliance with orders from the State of Alaska. We hope to re-open as soon as permitted. Please watch WASI’s Facebook page for updates.
Seniors may receive services in their own home (housekeeping and Meals on Wheels) and may pick up a “take-away” hot lunch at the Wasilla Senior Center and the Mid-Valley Senior Center. Lunch pickups occur Mon-Fri between 11:30 – 12:30. As usual, seniors (age 60+) receive a meal (pickup or delivered to your home) on a donation basis.
ALL other program activities at the Wasilla and Mid-Valley Senior Centers are cancelled until permitted by government authorities.
This will create hardships and we want to help. Call us (Mon-Fri, 8-4) if you need a meal, or anything else. We will do what we can. 376-3104.
And please remember to wash your hands when you enter a building, stay away from large gatherings, and if you have any symptoms of any illness, please CALL you physician before going to the emergency room or other medical provider.
Wasilla Senior Center and Mid-Valley Senior Center are closed to the public, but staff are available Monday – Friday 8 am – 4 pm.
The Alaska PFD will be paid shortly after 1 July. If you chose to Pick.Click.Give. you can make changes to your donations until June 17.
