A Family Fun Fundraiser

Our annual Miles for Meals Family Fun Run/Walk will be held Saturday June 23, 2012. We will have over 200 participants  joining together for 3-miles of fun and fitness. This 5K event will be followed by a free BBQ lunch and door prize giveaways. The event starts at 9:00 a.m. for registration, 10:45 a.m. to kick off the walkers, and 11:00 to start the runners.

Meals on Wheels is a vital service available seven days a week, including holidays, for these unable to prepare their own meals. With our Meals on Wheels program, no senior goes hungry – they are able to remain in their home with dignity and receive hot, nutritious meal from one of our friendly drivers, along with a welfare check.

During 2010 we were able to serve over 33,400 meals, and we expect a 6% increase in delivered meals in 2011. Thanks to your contributions, this extremely important basic need is provided to residents within our community.

 

2012 Sponsorship

Please consider sponsoring our event. This year we have made sponsorship even easier. For a minimum contribution of $500, your company logo will be included on the back of our beautiful green race event shirt. You will also be able to bring a banner to display to show you your company pride to over 18,000 vehicles per day, one week prior to the event for our “Premier Sponsors” of $2,500.00 or more, you will be entitled to a larger logo on the t-shirt and your company name will be included on all our radio and print advertising, as well as presence on our new website for a year.
